Title : How to balance family, career and ministry ? PPP Houraaay !!!
Sub title: prayer
Life is full of good things that either fight or draw our attention. Whether you are young or old you will have a level of responsibility that eat up your time. We all have 24 hours a day therefore time management matters. How can we manage our time efficiently without falling on the cracks ? In fact how do we practically and wisely choose what to focus on in order to live a balanced life?
In this life whether you are a teenager, or an adult you will be loaded with choices to make, and decisions to take. The more you mature the more you add into your responsibilities depending on your life circumstances and choices. Unfortunately there are uncontrollable circumstances that just come naturally to us as we grow.
A new born baby cries when he is hungry, sleepy or wet. A teenager may refer to his parents but an adult would take a completely different route and work at resolving his problems.
As a student your responsibility could be limited to doing chores at home and working on your homework to secure good results at school. An adult individual has no choice but to take care of himself and all that he is responsible for. ( job, wife, husband, children, house, church, community, entertainment…) in this article you will learn 3 tips using our three Ps that will help you balance your life. Prayer, priorities, performance. Let’s start with prayer!
In order to balance family, career, school, ministry and so on you have no choice but to pray.
What is prayer ?To pray simply means talking to God. Through prayer, you develop a trusting relationship with God. You develop a connection with him . When you pray you just don’t talk to God, you have a conversation with Him. He is the creator of the universe therefore he knows the end of things even before they begin. The Bible says in Jeremiah that God knew you even before the world was created, before you were formed in your mother’s womb. Why not go to him with every request you have since he knows it all. Is it not the best short cut ever? How do you pray? First and foremost you have to invite the Holy-Spirit in your life. The Holy Spirit is the third person of the trinity. The person of the Holy-Spirit is a gentleman, he will not force you into doing things. Therefore you have to invite him in your life. If you don’t invite Him He will not just show up.
How do you pray?
Jesus gave us a model of prayer and said this:
“Pray, then, in this way: ‘Our Father who is in heaven, Hallowed be Your name. ‘Your kingdom come, Your will be done On earth as it is in heaven. ‘Give us this day our daily bread. ‘And forgive us our debts, as we have forgiven our debtors [letting go of both the wrong and the resentment]. ‘And do not lead us into temptation, but deliver us from evil. [For Yours is the kingdom and the power and the glory forever. Amen.]’”
Matthew 6:9-13 AMP
1- Praise God for who he is and for what he has done. ( What God has done is different for everyone , the fact that you are reading this makes God your protector because he allowed you to see another day. )
2- Repent of your sins ( everyday we sin agains God, so its good to say sorry)
3- Ask for your needs ( Everyday comes with needs and they differ from person to person)
4- Yield your will to God’s will, your agenda and schedule to God, let him take control. ( Remember God knows everything so surrender to him and let him lead you)
